Cyber Security – Website Safety

The South West Cyber Resilience Centre (SWCRC) IS a police/private not-for-profit partnership, funded by the Home Office, and covering the South West of the country. It offers free and inexpensive cyber services for local SME’s and third sector organisations.

It employs top-quality undergraduates from local universities who are checked, trained, supervised and monitored by national experts. They can provide a full First Steps Web assessment for only £150. This will identify the strengths any weaknesses in your website and to make it safer.

To see what a First Steps Web Assessment looks like and what it can tell you about your website please see the attached specimen report.
For any questions or help please contact the SWCRC www.swcrc.co.uk to help you become more cyber secure.

Dorset Labour Market & Skills Insights – Quarter 1 2021

The first quarter of 2021 was one of highs and lows: Dorset entered a third lockdown and a New Year simultaneously and marked a year since the start of the pandemic. The spike in cases seen at the beginning of the year subsided with over 60% of adults receiving their first COVID-19 vaccination and cautious steps on the roadmap to easing the restrictions are now well underway.

Our latest round of insights shows the labour market and skills responded accordingly: there was a decline in employment and a rise in furlough, but also a noted increase in vacancies towards the end of the quarter. This issue also highlights the impact of the pandemic on inequalities, skills gaps and the future of work nationally and in Dorset.
