For many years the BID has been lobbying Dorset Council to formalise the cycle path from the end of the cul de sac bridleway off Cobham Road and Brickyards Lane to Haviland Road. After unsuccessful negotiations with the land owner the Council is now proposing an extension of the bridleway (point H) designation to the end of the adopted part of Haviland Road (point A).
It is not anticipated that horses would use this route but it would formalise its use by pedestrian and cyclists and allow an appropriate surface to be laid.
