The Community Sports Trust is the charitable arm of AFC Bournemouth, actively working in the local community across Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset. In an average week the Community Sports Trust works with 4,000 people, from children as young as one-year-old to the people over-50. The Trust's vision is to help people achieve their goals through the delivery of quality sports sessions. The AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust was formed in 2001 from the Football in the Community programme and has continued a charitable working partnership with AFC Bournemouth. In total the Trust delivers over 100 sessions a week to a wide variety of children and adults of all ages and abilities. All of the sessions are adjusted to meet the needs and requirements of all participants whilst working towards our four main themes; sports participation, health, education and inclusion. In 2008 the AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust gained charitable status. The Trust is a self-funding, non-profit organisation which has a huge impact upon the local community through increasing involvement in sport.
