BID Manager Recruitment – Do You Know Someone Who Can Guide the BID?

Kevin, who has worked on the development of the Ferndown & Uddens Business Improvement District (BID) and its management over the past 14 years, has decided for personal reasons to step down next year. The recruitment process for a new contracted manager has started.

The Ferndown & Uddens BID is the only industrial area BID in Dorset. The estates are the largest in Dorset being home to more than 400 businesses and regarded by land agents as the location of choice for many companies. The BID’s success over the past decade can be measured when, in the recent renewal ballot, 80% of levy payer voters supported the new business plan that proposed the BID’s continuation for a further five years.

The Manager’s key role is being responsible to the Board, which is made up of local volunteer businesspeople, for the delivery of the business plan objectives. It is a contracted not employed arrangement.
