CCTV Policy

Improved Security was your main priority action for the 2014 BID. ANPR cameras were first installed at the estates entrances. These are now enhanced by a comprehensive set of monitored CCTV cameras as part of a new partnership arrangement with Dorset Police.

This system is designed to deter crimes, to alert suspicious actions and also help the Police solve crimes that have been committed. In accordance with privacy laws the images are strictly controlled but are available to the Police were a crime has been committed. Full details of the operation of the system are available on the website.
